Social Xleration realized and felt a need for making children at the State Observation Home in Lucknow aware of the Child Rights and Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) Scheme. The thought was that an awareness session of this kind would make children conversant with the above and offer a dignified life in the future. As a result, on the 9th of December 2021, an orientation session was held at Observation Home. Janusz Korczak, a pen name for Henryk Goldszmit, was hailed as the father of child rights during the conversation. The session explored the evolution of child rights along with the ICPS or Child Protection Scheme (CPS). A brief discussion of the classification of children’s rights and children eligible for Child Protection Services (children living in difficult circumstances) was also held. The department/committees engaged in executing the ICPS or CPS were also discussed. This awareness workshop drew a total of 50 children, six teachers, and two Juvenile Justice (JJ) Board members. A similar exercise was also held in Varanasi on 31 December 2021 at Kashi Annapurna Guest House, which was attended by 50 students and interested tourists.
