As September is Poshan month in India, Social Xleration thought that it was necessary and appropriate that health and nutrition should be discussed in the remote villages of Uttar Pradesh’s backward regions. Hence, on September 14, 2021, a seminar-cum-discussion was put together at Shivnandan Bal Vidya Mandir in Akbarpur village of Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh. The audience learned about the definition of health, the seven dimensions of health, the thirteen signs of good health, the definition of nutrition, the seven types of nutrition, the seven major challenges facing India’s health system, and local solutions to improve India’s public healthcare and nutrition status. The event drew 100 students and eight lecturers.
