Inter College Vijaypur, a school from 6th to 12th grades, is located in remote and a rural area in Bageshwar block of Bageshwar district in Uttarakhand. Since the school is in behind the back location, access to books was an issue for the school as it did not have a proper library. This is more so important in times of COVID-19, when school interruption has already negatively impacted the studies of children. It has been proven through research that school interruption leads to halts in education but also acquired learning slowly gets lost. In absence of books, the situation had become more difficult after the reopening of the school. Therefore, access to books is highly required for continued learning, which has a long-term bearing on the earning potential, competitiveness, and productivity of students. To achieve the above goal, Social Xleration has facilitated the creation of library in the school along with its partner Sai Sanskar, which has provided academic benefits to around 250 school students, who alongside the school faculty members and management have greatly commended the contribution of Social Xleration.
