Access to a computer and its effective usage is integral to today’s contemporary school education. However, the unfortunate part is that despite the acknowledged benefits that computers bring to children, which encompass ease of learning, improved academic performance, faster access to information, higher efficiency, better awareness about the world, and so on, many students find themselves in a precarious situation of being without access to a computer. To plug this gap among the students of Tagore Children Academy, Vinayakdhar in Chamoli district, Social Xleration in association with Sai Sanskar Foundation made a computer available to the school students. This will enable 150 students to achieve better learning outcomes.
Social Xleration also made available 20 study tables that will provide a conducive learning environment to 150 students in the school. The tables will assist in sitting in a comfortable posture while studying, improve their handwriting with better posture, provide storage space, facilitate collaboration, enhance interest levels, and facilitate cleanliness, all of which will contribute to better learning among them. Besides, another measure to strengthen the learning environment of the school includes the provision of NCERT books to standards 9th and 10th students of the school along with a range of relevant books on the subjects of Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics for the students of classes 11th and 12th. 350 students belonging with limited means will benefit from these books. The students, teachers, and school management have appreciated this contribution by Social Xleration and its partner organization.
