GIC KUMDAR, a government-run school established in 1990 in the Bin block of Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, is located in a remote location. The school has 6 to 12 grades. The school until recently did not have a physics laboratory for 14 years and the Science students were bereft of crucial practical learning experience that is vital for complete education and understanding for the subject of Physics. Taking cognizance of this acute requirement, Social Xleration along with Sai Sanskar Foundation has set up a Physics laboratory in the school in February 2021. The establishment of the laboratory after nearly decade and a half has highly enthused the Science students, who are excited to use the laboratory and attain higher learning levels of the subject. The School Principal, Dr. Bhuvan Chandra Dhariyal along with the students and teachers have greatly welcomed the provision of the much-needed resource by Social Xleration. In another effort to promote education, 150 students of another remote school were provided school supplies including stationery and supplies in March 2021 to bring effectiveness to their learning.
