Social Xleration Holds a General Health Camp in Remote Part of Malkangiri district

Affordable and quality healthcare services are still scarce in the country especially when it comes to the rural populace. The situation has exacerbated especially in the times of the COVID-19 pandemic when it has become more difficult for people in hinterlands to avail of healthcare services. Against this backdrop, Social Xleration organized a general health camp on 7th and 8th November 2020 in the remote Chitrakonda block of Malkangiri district in Odisha covering the five villages of Rathaguda, Purunapani, Bardabandha, Phulpader, and Koiliguda in association with the district administration of Malkangiri. The health personnel, who attended the camp, comprised Dr. Samir Goldar, who was supported by two pharmacists from the District Hospital, Malkangiri. The health camp saw a presence of 358 people, who underwent health examination and received treatment and medicines in case of any ailment.
