The Covid-19 pandemic has had a devastating impact on the world and no country or region has been left unaffected by this pandemic. In India, the second wave experienced in the first half of this year was even more severe than last year. Mask and regular handwashing have been found to be highly effective to combat this disease apart from vaccination. While people are getting vaccinated, it is important to use masks and hand sanitizers to keep this disease at bay. To this end, Social Xleration along with Sai Sanskar Foundation distributed masks and hand sanitizers to the less fortunate in the far away area of Vinayak Dhar and Pokhari in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand in the month of September 2021. The drive covered around 500 people and they were also made aware of how to properly wear masks and wash hands regularly.
