Social Xleration held a program on Yuva Rozgar Yojana in Akharatoli village in Bero Block of Ranchi district in Jharkhand to raise awareness about government schemes that can assist people to become self-sufficient on 31 July 2021. This initiative was put together with the help of local PRI members and Anganwadi workers. 30 youth participants were informed about the different government programs available to help them start their own businesses. Schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) were discussed, which provide non-corporate, non-farm small/micro firms with loans of up to Rs. 10 lakhs. They were informed about Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) scheme that attempts to skill underprivileged rural youth and gives them jobs that pay a regular monthly payment or more than the minimum wage. They were also told about other PMRY programs, such as dairy, poultry, fisheries, small business, and bank loans. All of these schemes piqued the interest of the youth.
