Social Xleration held an awareness drive on rural insurance plans in Sirka village, Ranchi district on the 25th of June, 2021, to educate people about the value and necessity of rural insurance for their families. Rural insurance provides a safe and secure future for families living in rural areas, allowing them to live a contented life. Insurance assists in protecting against various risks in a person’s life. Rural insurance coverage has lower premium rates and a quicker claim process. The event took place in Sirka village’s Panchayat Bhawan. The event drew a total of 70 people. They learned about different types of insurance, what is rural insurance cover, how rural insurance works, eligibility requirements, claim process, claim settlement time, details of firms selling rural insurance in India, and the benefits of rural insurance. The participants showed a keen interest in all of the plans, particularly the health insurance that covered the Covid-19 disease.
